At an elevation of 7,000 ft, the White Mountains have something for everyone no matter the season! More than 200 miles of developed multi-use trails and over 65 lakes and streams.
The White Mountains is known for it's incredible hiking! Visitors can enjoy over 200+ miles of interconnected trails which wind through ponderosa pine, spruce, aspen, juniper, and oak forests from about 6,000 to 9,000 feet in elevation.
The White Mountain area has more than 60 miles of motorized vehicle trails, from Clay Springs to Pinetop-Lakeside, especially groomed for ATV, OHV, and snowmobiling use. The Maverick Trail has five trailheads:
